The
Christmas Game Cooperative Game
(Ages 5 - 8)

Players try to make sure
that everyone has a Merry Christmas by working together to help each
person collect all the pieces they need to make their own Merry
Christmas picture puzzle. The game play involves players helping one
another by sharing and giving. Players work together to complete 4
holiday puzzle scenes and to complete the nativity puzzle that is the
centerpiece of the game board. Our kid testers LOVE this game and
would play for hours on end; we grown-ups enjoy playing along with the
children. We look forward to bringing out this cooperative game
every holiday season: it brings good cheer by encouraging and fostering
helpfulness and by bringing to the players the satisfaction that comes
from purely helping one another. 2 to 4 players, ages 5 - 8.

Family Pastimes Cooperative Games:
Hello,
Thank you so much!!!!! I am a homeschooler, and they work so well with my family and I am going to tell my homeschooling friends!! Thanks for such a great concept!
Hello,
I will take this time to tell you how much we have enjoyed your games, I love the fact that my kids can play (without me) and I know that they will have fun and enjoy each other, not get frustrated with each other!
May God Bless The Works of Your Hands!
Dear family pastimes,
Whilst on holiday skiing at Whistler this Christmas I picked up one of your co-operative games ‘Princess’ to keep my 31/2 and 6 year old occupied during our trip back to England over the holidays. I cannot thank you enough for providing a game that both my little girl and young boy could play together with our family in harmony and without tears and tantrums over who is the best and who is going to win! My son, the just 6 year old, would always hate playing games where one person would be declared a winner, so as such we have avoided most board games to date. I have sent both children to a Montessori pre-school where the idea of competition is not encouraged at such an early age, and cannot wait to show the Directress there this game.
Hello,
Today my little 3 year old and her best friend, another little 3 year old (boy), had a lot of fun playing with me the ‘Princess’ game and insisted we play a few times to rescue the princess from the scary castle – what fun it was to have such a calm and engaging time with 2 little delightful children. The game not only encourages co-operation but helps with taking turns, sharing, imagination and counting skills – absolutely fantastic!
Dear Family Pastimes Folks,
You must get so much fan mail. I'll add ours to the pile. The games are great; we've already played Yard Sale and Berries & Bugs this morning. I'm reading the Sports Manual and thinking about a Cooperative Field Day for my son's school. So much good inspiration. You are all gems!
Thank you, thank you.
I just received our games in the mail. I am not sure who is excited more, me or my daughter. I am so happy to have some cooperative games. I have used these
games when teaching in the past and loved them. I just wanted to tell you, that I really believe that cooperation seems to be more instinctual than competition for children. They don't want to see others lose, and really young children don't even seem
to understand winning and losing. I tried to play Candyland (a gift from friends) with my daughter, age 3 1/2. I explained the rules to her, and she always wanted to move my pieces if I was left behind and wanted the same
courtesy done for her. When I explained that she wanted to win the game so that she could eat all of the candy in the castle, she quite candidly stated "Mom that doesn't seem fair that only one person gets to eat all of the candy, when we have all been trying to get to the castle." It felt strange to be teaching her to be competitive when she really didn't feel the need to be, and knew that these weren't actions that we valued in a positive light. But, I wanted her to have the necessary skills in following directions and playing games with others. Now we can do each of those things and teach her about humanity. Thanks for making such thoughtful products.
